WHEN ON FIELD TRIPS
While safety and welfare are the responsibility of each participant the following are suggested….
The March outing, on Sunday 17th, will be to the Hindmarsh River Walk in Victor Harbor. As usual we will meet at 9.30. Don't forget to bring a packed lunch. Hindmarsh River Walk Make your way, probably using the A13, to the roundabout on the outskirts of Victor Harbor (UBD Map 310, G 6). At the roundabout, take the second exit towards Victor Harbor (labelled “City Centre”), avoiding the Port Elliot Road, Alexander St and the shopping centre. After about 1 km, you cross the Hindmarsh River. About 0.5 km further on (UBD Map 310, B 12), turn left over the railway line and then left again along Bridge Terrace. Drive to the end of Bridge Terrace, loop around and park parallel to the sea (UBD Map 310, C 10). (If you miss the first railway crossing, drive a little further and turn left at the roundabout on to Eyre Terrace and then Bridge Terrace.) You may also wish to visit the sites below and report back to the club on your sightings.
